How will professional development continue after the grant is over.
In each school we have lead teachers who we are developing as resources to their schools or neighboring schools. In workshops with these teachers we address issues that they will face in both giving workshops and in responding to concerns of parents, administrators , etc. We have also begun to have these teachers assist us in giving workshops which we prep for with them and review the experience with them afterwards. As a result we have an evergrowing cadre of lead teachers who are ready to train others. We also have a cadre of teachers in the school who new IMP teachers use as a resource.
Although these lead teachers will remain as a resource for their schools, other schools will need to fund workshops they request of them.
