Bob's comments from Mesa are beginning to echo in TUSD's DESERT Project in Tucson. A strategy for providing professional development at a school site during the school day with a lack of subsitute teacehrs is one we adapted from talking to our colleagues in Mesa. Their Special Presenter model has been so popular we are expanding it next year and are very hopeful this will be a sustainable piece, since it has been so positively received. Our thanks to Mesa and to the other LSC communties who have generously shared their successes with others!
