Provides valuable insight into not only student learning but also about instruction. Helps identify specific concepts and processes that were difficult to get across generally.
We chose one topic and developed questions that would assess performance on tasks incorporating the module's targeted concept and process objectives. The interviews lasted about 30 minutes per student.
Requires lot of time and effort. Could be very informative in projects' efforts to enhance content and pedagogical knowledge. Perhaps additional supplemental funding?
