How to provide professional development for resource teachers who felt that they needed to develop adult level skills and deeper knowledge of content.
Resource teachers team with scientist-mentors to develop science courses. In Addition, Dr. Lillian Mc Dermott, Physics Department at the University of Washington, provides resource and lead teachers with a five credit course in Inquiry-Based Physics.In addition, through a grant, resource and lead teachers participate in cognitive coaching and other adult learning experiences to enhance their skills as they work with classroom teachers.
How do we build sustainability within the system? How can we assess impact?
