Good to hear from you, Bob Box. Your comment re all 25 publishers claim alignment to MCTM standards reminds me of discovery we made in piloting an NSF-funded middle school math curriculum, Connected Math, which is now part of our systemic change grant. After two years of field testing, we discovered that many teachers thought they were implementing the curriculum by using the materials, which did not always mean the materials were being used to support student inquiry. We've had to focus much more on regular reunions at which teachers view videos and discuss how to maintain tasks at a high cognitive level.
