subject: evidence
This is David Hartney from First Hand Learning/TEAM 2000 in Buffalo, NY. I
work with elementary and middle school teachers on building evidence of
student learning as part of standard classroom operating procedure. This
often involves brainstorming specific questions to ask during a particular
science unit and comparing student responses to those questions, which
students make in their notebooks/journals.

I would be very interested in hearing about the kinds of evidence that
others feel is acceptable/unacceptable to the various audiences interested
in evidence. What sort of evidence is acceptable to a superintendent? A
state legislator? A Parent? A school board member?
