Communication among partners, i.e., school districts (lead teachers and administrators),...

Issue Addressed:

Communication among partners, i.e., school districts (lead teachers and administrators), regional science resources, universities, industries

Solution:

In Pittsburgh, there is a favorite golf game called Scramble. In this game everyone takes a shot and then all players rush to tee off from the farthest ball. We like to think that this game is analogous to our synergistic management and communication style at ASSET, where all creative ideas are encouraged and the team takes off with the most advantageous one. This allows for the consideration of divergent perspectives in an environment of mutual respect.

Unresolved Issues:

How to sustain and encourage this method without direct involvement from ASSET staff members.
