Project evaluators are not always viewed as supportive of project...

Issue Addressed:

Project evaluators are not always viewed as supportive of project participants

Solution:

Project staff made a decision to formally introduce evaluation staff to Master Science Teachers at the first session of the summer institute. These introductions have continued throughout the professional development activities. While the intensive nature of LSC evaluation requires that evaluators attend training activities, project staff believes that Master Science Teachers need to recognize that the evaluators are part of the team and supportive of the project activities. As project activities scale up to a larger sample of teacher participants, project staff will continue to include evaluators in an active way.

Unresolved Issues:

Project staff needs to continue developing stragegies to promote evaluators as project participants
