Issue Addressed:

Many LSC's have introduced curricula that rely on kits which entail original purchase price as well a refurbishment cost after each use. If these programs are to succeed these costs must remain affordable to school disctricts. What is the national picture on kit costs, especially after start-up when some of these costs may be subsidized by sources that are not long-term. Do costs compare well with the alternative of text book based curricula?
