In our project in Chicago the important issue is creating a community of learners among the teachers- both teacher leaders and new participants. we are fortunate that we have geographic proximity. We have curriculum workshops for people at differeing levels of excperience with the curriculum. But we also ahve monthly metings open to all project participants. This context allows for those developing the interest in becoming a teacher leader- usually a second year teacher- can work with more experienced teachers.
