subject: "Deep Change"
One of our plans for sustaining change produced by GEMS-Net is to train
two designated specialists per district for a full school year during
which they are relieved of teaching duties. Over the five year grant
there will be 10 teachers trained. These "Teachers in Residence" will
participate in all aspects of the program under the direction of our PI's
and will be available to mentor teachers, do in-class training, etc. for
any district during their tenure. They will remain a specialist to
carry on the program for their own district thereafter. Our LSC shares the
costs involved with all the districts.
