subject: How to support teacher leaders
In reading the posts so far, I have noticed one challenge mentioned or
alluded to in several messages. When a teacher takes on a new role in
relation to his/her colleagues, they can encounter a range of issues.
Sometimes the problem arises from a feeling of competition (some resentment
that *she* was chosen when *I* was not). But what I am interested in is a
different challenge: when you become a teacher leader, you take on a role in
teaching or coaching adults. What problems along this line have your
teacher-leaders encountered, and how do they get help in learning this new
set of skills?
